I did install Windows 7 via a DVD drive so you may need the tool if your installing via USB as those ports will need drivers for the install.Ĭons: The last two reviews under mine. Windows 7 install went smoothly and did NOT require the MSI Windows 7 tool as long as you set up the bios correctly. THEN reboot again with a ps2 mouse and install the motherboard driver dvd first. After Windows 7 install it asks for a user name but no USB ports work! You have to use an old ps2 port keyboard and reboot to finish the Windows 7 install.

Do NOT call MSI support as they proved to me they are untrained and have no knowledge of this board and the problem associated with it.Ĭons: When I installed Windows 7 before I upgraded to Windows 10 I had read the MSI webside that you must go in the Bios and switch it to install windows 7 which I did. I would buy again but I would spring for a Windows 10 install. Love it so far and have no other complaints other then what I listed below.

Pros: Awesome board FULL ATX that is an impressive looking board that has embedded lights in the board with 4-4pin fan connectors and a user friendly Bios. Newegg is just purely amazing! They truly care about there customers! Contacted Newegg and it will take 2-5 days after and I will receive a new product.ĭo not let this issue change your mind about this motherboard! It happens! If you are on a budget, but still want to run games on Ultra with a lot of features and your a fan of the flat black and red LED (I AM!) Buy this board!
Talked with MSI and get me the link to RMA but I would receive a refurbished product 2 weeks after they receive my item. I have to add that after 3 weeks, it would not boot into POST. With also the GSKILL Ripjaw V Series red, makes this motherboard beautiful. Have Intel i7-6700k installed and it runs at 4.5 OC. Overall Review: If your a fan of the look of your motherboard and you like flat black with a red vein LED thing, and a awesome price, Check this motherboard out.
There is only 5 which are PWN ports but you can also use 3 pins.
